About the Initiative

The Hummingbird Creative Enterprise Forum is a practical education and development initiative created by Hummingbird Art and Culture Foundation Ltd.

The program connects artists, filmmakers, designers, musicians, cultural organizations, independent professionals, small-business owners and emerging entrepreneurs with the knowledge and relationships required to build sustainable creative work.

Its purpose is not to organize networking for appearances. Every workshop and forum is designed around clear learning objectives, qualified facilitators, practical resources and outcomes participants can use after the event.

The initiative recognizes that creativity and enterprise are not separate worlds. Artists need sustainable business knowledge, while businesses benefit from imagination, culture, communication and human-centered thinking.

Our Purpose

  • Help artists develop sustainable creative careers
  • Give entrepreneurs practical, responsible business guidance
  • Connect cultural work with economic opportunity
  • Support women, young adults, immigrants and underserved communities
  • Create collaboration between artists and business professionals
  • Help participants move from an idea to an actionable plan
Who It Is For

  • Visual artists, filmmakers and producers
  • Writers, musicians and performers
  • Designers, photographers and creative freelancers
  • Small-business owners and emerging entrepreneurs
  • Women-led and immigrant/diaspora enterprises
  • Students, nonprofit professionals and community organizations
What Makes It Meaningful

To keep this program substantive rather than a photo opportunity, HBACF holds to these operating standards:

  • Every session has published learning objectives
  • Speakers are selected for relevant knowledge, not status alone
  • Workshops include templates or participant resources
  • Sponsors cannot purchase speaking authority on technical subjects
  • Participant information is not sold
  • No false claims regarding investors, jobs or government participation
  • Confirmed speakers are distinguished from invited speakers
  • Confirmed funding is distinguished from planned prizes
  • Outcomes are reviewed after 30 and 90 days
  • A public impact summary is published annually
Access and Affordability

HBACF works toward keeping workshops free or affordable, supported through charitable grants, program sponsorships, individual donations, institutional partnerships, scholarship funds and in-kind professional services. No participant is excluded solely because they cannot afford a workshop fee when scholarship support is available.
